Pathe Baby Hand turned - The camera production No 045501 – Continsouza Paris
The condition of our camera is medium. The leather is loose; it does not touch to the body in many places. The viewfinder is original; with a lens of glass. Those cameras, at that time, were supplied with this special kind of viewfinders. Looking closer to, it is able to be seen, that the viewfinder was replaced. The objective in our camera is Berthiot f 1:3, 5. The drive is working very well. The catch door does not work properly.
The camera was produced circa in 1923. It was produced for the British market; on the body is embodied – ‘Made in France British Patent No 208105’ . The cassette old type- ‘hand turned’ is inside of the camera.

Pathe Baby Hand turned - The camera production No 060078 – Continsouza Paris
The camera is in a very nice condition. All mechanisms are working very well. It is supplied with Krauss lens; f 3,5; 2 cm. In the camera is the original Pathe Baby cassette.
The camera is supplied with the Babygraphe in a leather case.
The Babygraphe is in a light brown original case with the Pathe logo. The camera was produced in France, circa 1922.

Pathe Baby - Motrix automatic - The camera production No 040938 – Continsouza Paris
The camera was made in France, circa in 1926. The camera has got the Motrix Automatic Drive. The camera gives possibilities of two kinds of photographing; of any object at minimum distance 1m, and infinitive distance, adjusting the mechanism on the length of the viewfinder. Some parts are missing: the starting knob; a small screw on the top; and above the winding key auxiliary starting knob is missing.
Our camera was tested, and all mechanisms are working very well. The fitted lens is Krauss f 3, 5; 2 cm.
The camera’s body is in a very good condition.
The clockwork motor built in the camera, which may be fitted or removed from the camera. One full winding of the spring enables to exposure 2/5 of a reel - about 450 pictures, on the Motrix Automatic Drive camera.
The cassette old type- ‘hand turned’ is inside of the camera. The camera is in the original leather case, the strap is broken and lock is partly broken. Inside is an aluminum box, for the spare cassettes.

The embossed letters – Made in France, nearly invisible. The camera was made circa 1927.

Pathe Motocamera “De Luxe” - production No V59531 (inside on the cover No 418 N)
In this model were applied new elements:
Double view finder: on the camera’s top and from the back. It gives the alternative of waist or eye-level filming by a single movement, and works with conjunctions with an End of film Indicator that gives warning when the film in the camera is about to be completed. When on the point of finishing film, a shutter rises in the view finder, and then disappears as the film-counter returns to zero.
Multi-speed device allows a variation in exposure from 10 to 20 pictures per second, the adjustment to the selected speed being by means of a knurled knob. This feature gives the equivalent of a faster or slower lens.
The body is covered by black morocco leather. The cover is torn on the edges. The handle is original with the embossed word ‘Pathe’. It has got the original cassette. The film charger is type ‘P’.
The camera is fitted with Anastigmat Hermagis Paris lens – f3.5. The pocket on a side body for Waist-level view finder, enabling pictures to be taken at waist level.
The camera was produced in circa 1929.

The body is covered by black morocco leather. The cover looks as used a lot. The handle is not original. The spring mechanism is fitted into a painted black round metal on the camera body.To open the camera; turn the door- catch knob in an anti clockwise direction until resistance is felt and then press the knob to open. The lens is Carl Zeiss Jena – Tessar f2.7 (C277). The original cassette is inside. The charger is ‘P’ type. The starting lever is in very good condition, the stop button, on it, is working properly. The pocket on a side body for Waist-level view finder, enabling pictures to be taken at waist level. The camera has got the slot for pathexgraph below the lens. It is made in France, English instruction inside. The camera was produced in circa 1927.

The camera has got the leather brown square case which contains: The original cassette Pathex, type ‘P’; the original ‘Pathe’-cinema’ filter of 4x magnification; the Pathéscope Exposure Indicator disc and Pathéscope Exposure Calculator in the black plastic case.

Our model is fitted with Zeiss Tessar lens – f2.7 (C277). The camera was presumably produced in 1927. It has got the original cassette. The film charger is type ‘P’. The metal housing is covered by black morocco leather- ‘Arnold Ledered – Prague’. The leather is in very good condition. The handle is original with the embossed word ‘Pathe’. The closing button is as the round button. The camera’s mechanism is working excellently.
At the bottom of the camera is embossed - Made in France.
The camera has got the pocket on a side body for Waist-level view finder, enabling pictures to be taken at waist level.
Inside the housing is an instruction in German Language.

Pathe Motocamera Model B - production No 083595 B
This model is a cheaper version of the early models. The camera is not fitted with a tripod bush.
It is only model which does not have this feature! It was supplied for the market at the beginning of 1930s, at a time of the big recession in the world. In France it was named ‘Mondial B’. Our camera was presumable built up in 1933. The camera was advertised as an ideal Christmas present in the UK Pathéscope house magazine - 'Pathéscope Monthly' for December 1932.
The body is made of nickel metal and crystalline finished. The paint is partly removed on one side. The starting knob is conveniently placed – in different part of the camera body then the first Motocamera models. The handle is original, leather made with embodied word – “Pathéscope” and ‘’Made in France”.
The camera is fitted with a fully corrected lens (fixed focus) - Pathe Paris 1:3, 5; focus 2 cm. A strong motor drive is built-in which will expose a whole reel at one winding: double claw movement is including and a self closing shutter. It is fixed with film counter button and safety device to prevent accidental exposure. The film charger is the same as in the first models – ‘P’. Our camera has got the cassette.
Door catch is as a push button without safety closing.

Pathe Motocamera model “H” - production No 54389 – Made in England
This model was originally designed and manufactured in France in 1937-1959, and known there as the Pathé National. The production was started in the UK before WW2. Other examples are marked 'Made in Germany' and carry the Pathex brand name. This became the mainstay of UK Pathéscope 9.5mm filming product for many years.
The cameras are running on a new type ‘H’ charger cassettes.
The starting knob is the same as in the Motocamera model “B”.
The camera dimension is 20x101x125mm and weight - 1,250 kg.
The crystalline painted body is in new condition and all mechanisms are fully functional. Over the lens is plate with letter: ‘PATHESCOPE “H” - on the silver background. The leather handle is not original. The cassette is fitted. On the camera’s door is embodied: Made in England and number of the production. The instruction: “The 9, 5 mm Pathéscope Motocamera Type “H” (British made) fitted with an
f.2.5 Anastigmat Lens in an Interchangeable Mount”. The camera is in an original cardboard box, but without the top cover.
Inside the instructions on the cover, is inserted a plastic square mask for telephoto lens. In use the square is fitted on the view finder when using telephoto lens.
The camera has interchangeable lens. The lens in the camera is: Pathex Anastigmat National Opt. co. Leicester- with exposure indicator: 2, 5; 3, 5; 5. Read more

The camera is the same as the one with production number 54389. The paint is scratched on the edges. The catch door button is perfect. No cassette is fitted. It is working perfectly. A booklet of the English instruction is supply.

Pathe Motocamera model “H” no production number – Made in France
The camera has similar construction to the British model. The only differences are: the handle is original with painted silver letters- Pathéscope and embodied Made in France. The camera’s door is embossed: Made in France. The catch door mechanism is different; it is as a push button only, without the security twist. The lens is the same as the English model, but is not as interchangeable. Over the lens is a plate with yellow letters: ‘PATHESCOPE “H” - on the black background.
The body is in new condition. The mechanism is working very well. The Pathe “H” cassette is supplied.

Pathe Motocamera model “H” production No 51697 P – Made in England
The main camera’s mechanisms are the same as above described models, made in England. In addition to the many fine features, also has a Variable Speed Device incorporated. The speed control allows for filming at 10, 24, and 32 pictures per second, as well as the normal rate of 16; in fact , at any speed between 10 and 32, since the indicator is movable to any point on the segment to give the desired variation.
The camera is an average condition; some paint is scratched and some places are repainted. The cassette inside is “H” charger. All mechanisms are working very well.
The camera has got a “Rexine- Leathercloth” case fitted with: two filters – light green and light yellow, with an instruction how to use them; a booklet of the English instruction.

Pathe Motocamera - 1949, model National II production No - 23927
This model had begun to be built up in France 1949-1959. In appearance very much likes the earlier 'H' cine camera style. The "National" is similar in design to the British-built "H".Body and lid are of very solid die-castings, finished in silver- gray wrinkle stove-enamel. The controls are a mixture of bright and satin metallic finishes. A swivel mount on top of the camera secures a looped carrying strap. It weights 1.100gr.
This later model had a redesigned mechanism, with the starting button on the lower front of the camera, and rotatable ring selecting filming, stills or lock around the button. The camera features variable filming speeds from 8-16-24-32-frames per second (fps). Shutter speed at 16 fps equals 1/32nd second approximately, an automatically resetting film counter, scaled in meters, which reverts to zero when charger is removed. The lens mount is the 'H' type screw mount –interchangeable, and is normally fitted with a focusing, 20 mm f1.9- S.O.M. Berthiot Cinor C lens. The lens is bloomed.The camera lens fouls the viewfinder field. It gives impression, as the lens is cheeped.The viewfinder is marked for the 50 mm telephoto and had a flick down lever to show the wide angle field of view.
The eyepiece rotates to give parallax adjustment for infinite, 2 meters and 1 meter.
This camera is rear, as the button for change the angle field is round and is fitted at top of the camera.
The eyepiece disc rotates for parallax compensation.
The National II accepts the standard 'H' film chargers which contain around 8.2meters / 27 ft 6 inches of 9.5 mm film. The presser pad, in the camera, swings back to facilitate easy cleaning.

Pathe Motocamera – 1954, Model National II production No 31014
This model is nearly the same as above one (No23927). The different is the field changer – you pull down a small lever, on the top right corner, which interposes a negative lens internally. Deference is the exposure calculator on the side door, as well. It is a different format of design: the calculator and Pathe symbol is in one plate.
The lens is the same, but our camera has got a lens hood fitted. The camera is in a leather case and the instruction in French language is inside.

Pathe Webo ‘A’ – 1948 Production No 3984 –Made in France
The camera has got the lens f 1.9 – 20 mm Som Berthiot Paris (picture-fig.4) – adjustable lens.
The advertisement in ‘Pathescope’ Monthly January 1950 (in our collection) says, the camera with F1.9 lens in focusing mount price £ 30 plus £13 tax, with F2.5 lens £21 and £9.20 tax. The F 1.9 lens, as a separate sale, was priced - £12.
The original box and the instruction in French language are in complete. The instruction book is printed by Société Nouvelle du Pathé Cinéma, Paris.
The camera has got a new kind of start knob. It is on the lens’ side, at the bottom, as a slider: the top position is for still picture, the bottom position is for filming. On the same side is exposure calculator: between lens and start knob. The button for a lens exchange is at the lens. At the bottom is fixed the leather strap. This side has got a flat surface.
Film counter is incorporated in the viewfinder, enabling the user to see the amount of film being used, with returning automatically to zero.
The closing button is different from other Pathe: is flat and is fitted inside a metal ring. The body is in beige frosted casing and stove enamel, constructed of high pressure die-castings, giving strength and rigidity.

Pathe Lido
The camera was produced in 1958-1964 in France as Duplex system. The camera looks very good because it is finished in pearl gray, black and satin chrome. The shape of the camera is unusual, different from any built up to 1958.
The loading is for 50 ft spooled film, and is sprocket fed to the gate, which features a quick release pressure pad. On the surface, below the spool, is a very useful illustration of loading a film.
Our camera is fitted with lens Some Berthiot f2.5 focusing 20 mm. The lens is interchangeable with wide angle or telephoto lenses. Our camera has only a standard lens.
The viewfinder has a very new design; it is a multi focal type. During filming session, it is simple to change to full wide angle. In the picture the knob is visible at the end of word ‘Lido’ for changing the view angle.
Underneath the lens is the release button with thread for a cable release, and selector lever. The selector can be set for:
- continuous filming;
- single picture;
- single picture with bulb exposure.
The camera has 4 speeds. It can be set for taking 8-16-18-24 fps (frame per second). Above speed knob is built in the film counter.
The one winding of the motor will run approximately 25 feet of film.
The tripod bush is underneath at the front of the camera. The position of tripod bush is visible on the pictures, as it was fitted to the photographic tripod for the camera shoot.
The weight of the camera is 2 ¾ lb (928 grams). It has an aluminium alloy casting, and is supplied with a wrist leather strap in a plastic zippered case.
